Introduction

Taylor's mother, Andrea Gardner Swift, is a former homemaker who previously served as a mutual fund marketing executive. Taylor Swift, or alternatively, Taylor Alison Swift, was born on 13th December 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania, in the USA. Taylor Swift is an American citizen, a pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of young heartache achieved massive success in the early 21st Century. Her father, Scott Kingsley Swift, was a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch, an American investing and wealth management division of Bank of America.

Taylor Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, is an actor. Her great-great-grandfather on the paternal side was an Italian immigrant entrepreneur and community leader who initiated a slew of business ventures in Philadelphia in the 1800s.

Taylor spent her early childhood years on a Christmas tree farm, which her father bought from one of his clients. Taylor Swift identifies as a Christian. She went to pre-school and kindergarten at the Alvernia Montessori School managed by the Bernadine Franciscan sisters before transferring to The Wyndcroft School. Her family moved to a rented house in the suburban town of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where Taylor attended Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School.
