Since we are in a time of upheaval, events keep occurring that give us something to think about. I try to see some of these tendencies from a different perspective. I will of course leave it up to you whether this also applies to your views, without wanting to influence them.

Foreword

Far be it from me to attack anyone here or to judge anyone. Rather, it is my view of things, as I interpret it below. It may well be that one or the other thinks that this would be a radical view of things. But sometimes it seems to me that you bury your head in the sand. Not reacting, will solve itself. I believe this thread runs through the entire body of writing. As I said, this is not paternalism of anyone, but my opinion on various things at home and abroad.

$400 billion for reconstruction

If you look at the way of thinking of some people, you can only wonder. A power-hungry despot attacks his neighboring country and destroys everything there. This is not only about military installations, but also about civilians. The population that lives there comes to the "kiss of the hand". Of course, there is no question that this country can be rebuilt after the end of the war, but who is supposed to finance the whole thing with such horrendous amounts. Once again, the Western community of states, and in particular the EU, has to hold it out. Russia, which has caused this with its ruler, will hardly contribute anything. It's just that you can't inject money forever, because the global economy doesn't look that rosy either. Shouldn't such people, who feel an uncanny urge for destruction, be put in their place before there is another world economic crisis and, as a result, a world war?

Useful idiots outside Russia

This is how a renowned magazine in America describes some states in the West. These include Hungary, Austria and Greece. Why it came to such a rating is apparently obvious. This supports the diffuse ideas of a despot in Russia by not exactly reducing imports from this aggressor state, but also increasing them. Just think of new contracts that Hungary has signed with Russia, which concerns gas imports and many other imports from that country. It's true that the Western community of states has now launched 11 packages of sanctions, but these are worthless if new treaties are concluded that counteract these sanctions. Of course, it is easier to get gas from this aggressor state than to look for alternatives, only with such measures you promote Putin's war chest. Thus, this president can continue his ideas of his "special operation" if you continue to shop in this country.

Contrary statements by a chairman

A few weeks ago, a new party chairman was elected in the SPÖ (Socialist Party of Austria). Even before this election, his credo was that he called himself a Marxist, but then recanted. There is a debate in our country about a sharp rise in inflation and it is difficult to reduce it. On the part of this party chairman, a suspension of VAT on food is being considered, but whether this is effective is questionable. Who is supposed to control whether this suspension of this tax also ends up in the customer's trade? However, another suggestion from this person is that the working week should be reduced to 32 hours with full wage compensation. How is this supposed to work if you are already annoyed with high inflation? Somehow, such a reduction in working hours has to be financed against it. This chairman has no proposals on this. Another aspect of such an action is that you always have problems finding qualified specialists. Such a reduction in working hours would also promote this problem. The extent to which this is approved by possible voters of this party will then be determined in the next National Council election. Of course, you can always make populist proposals, but you should also think them through to the end, because that's what politics should be there for, by making laws and decisions for the population.

ECJ (European Court of Justice) and case law

This Supreme Court is dealing with an issue that affects some 500 million citizens in the Union. The reason for this was that some complaints were made regarding the withdrawal of the asylum status and, as a result, deportation. Now, however, this highest court of the EU has come to the conclusion that a refugee cannot be deprived of this status of asylum, even if he or she has already been convicted of serious violations of the law. This includes, for example, murder and aggravated robbery. In other words, this person is allowed to continue to reside on the national territory and still with an asylum status. What should also be noted is the aspect of the deportation of offenders in their countries of origin. One hears again and again that these countries of origin are not necessarily prepared to take back their citizens. What is also incomprehensible in this reasoning of the ECJ is the reasoning for these actions. It is thought that asylum status can only be revoked if this person is also a danger to society. One can already imagine that this is not entirely understandable to an EU citizen. What, then, is a murderer? Is he not a danger to European society and can he continue to spend his life behind bars at the expense of the domestic taxpayer?
