The main idea behind writing this book is to arouse consciousness among the retired people who just turn around after having ceased working without knowing what to do exactly with the rest of their lives .Many of them retire without having any concept how to live this last phase..Perhaps they are unaware that by remaining idle they are exposing themselves to many types of social and health hazards .One of the biggest mistake which former employees commit is that only after retirement they start to ponder how to spend time .But it must be emphasized that prior planning is of fundamental importance to enter this period of life.
An in depth analysis is performed about the various inconveniences which the ex employee may encounter post retirement .Every single aspect has been scrutinized and solutions preconized as far as possible. The word planning has been used as a leitmotiv and great emphasis has been laid on it .In fact, it should be considered as the backbone of the whole retirement process.
Many persons who are actually working and who are on the verge of retirement may be too occupied with their present employment to consider this matter of utmost importance about what to do at the end of their career .Hence the necessity to fill this gap with various concepts and ways of improving the mode of living after active employment is deeply felt .All preliminary precautions must be taken before the setting of the sun to avoid complete darkness .The lights should be switched on before twilight .Don’t wait to cross the bridge when you reach there .It may be too late!

Retirement planning requires a lot of thinking and considerable attention .When referring to the local context, it is a conspicuous fact that most of the youngsters join the work force by the age of eighteen to twenty years although some may have to wait longer before they get a job .However, nowadays many students have the opportunity whereby parents can afford to help them pursue higher studies .Afterwards they enter the working group .Previously the retirement age was sixty years .But now with the improvement in health conditions and the increase in the span of life people now retire at sixty five years .An important factor to be considered here is that the majority of employees do not have any precise idea what to do after attaining the working age limit. What will happen after retirement? Will you be able to live in the same way as before? Of course, obviously there will be changes in the mode of living .It will also depend on the level and quality of planning done prior to retirement.

One thing on which you attention should be drawn is that it is of paramount importance for the worker to do the appropriate planning while he/she is still employed .Primary attention must be focused on the financial aspect. Will the person continue to enjoy the same monetary benefits after retirement? Of course there will be a drastic reduction in the monthly revenues .While still being in office it is primordial to contribute to a retirement savings plan through an efficient insurance policy .Calculated rationally it must not impede on the family budget .Actually there are several retirement plans proposed by a host of insurance companies .The benefits must be reckoned on long term basis .While choosing the suitable plan the customer must be cautious about its convenience. Weigh the pros and cons carefully before joining.
