The must-read summary of Brian Jennings's book: “Censorship: The Treat to Silence Talk Radio”.

This complete summary of "Censorship" by Brian Jennings illustrates that he believes that freedom of speech is essential in America, but that it is under threat with the Obama administration controlling Congress. He argues that it is time for people to be concerned about their rights, to fight against reinstating the Fairness Doctrine and to refuse to allow government a say over media broadcasting and messages, which would have implications for freedom of speech.

Added-value of this summary:
• Save time
• Understand American talk radio and media bias
• Expand your knowledge of American politics and society

Book Presentation: Censorship by Brian Jennings

Book Abstract

Freedom of speech is America’s most cherished privilege, but at this moment in time, with the Obama administration in the White House and the Democrats controlling Congress, an epic battle is underway: a “battle for our airwaves that could sharply curtail or silence altogether the freedom of expression” that sets America apart. During the Reagan years, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to stop enforcing the Fairness Doctrine, which required all licensed broadcasters to offer balanced viewpoints on controversial issues. Almost immediately, conservative talk radio took off, and it was a hit with listeners. Soon, such programming attracted an estimated 50 million listeners weekly. But now, the principles of the Fairness Doctrine threaten to be reinstated, either through laws and the FCC or through “back-door tactics involving ownership of stations.” Now is a time when people concerned about our right to freedom of speech need to educate themselves about the so-called Fairness Doctrine, stand up, and make their voices heard in opposition.
