Book Abstract
Christians’ views have come to be considered culturally incorrect in today’s deeply divided nation. Our culture takes pride in tolerance and acceptance, yet it is acceptable to mock and malign Christians. The ACLU wages court battles against Christian symbols and expressions and the media compares Christians to Islamic terrorists. But Parsley asserts that Christianity is what propelled our nation to greatness and Christians must resist today’s all-out attacks that threaten to destroy our country’s foundation from within. The problem is, however, that Christianity is now retreating from the struggles in the public sphere. Christians must find a new spirit of revival and engagement in order to go out into the world and tackle the pressing political challenges of the day in the arenas of science, the arts, and the public square.
About the Author
Rod Parsley is the founder and senior pastor of the World Harvest Church, an evangelical mega-church in Columbus, Ohio. He is a well-known televangelist and the founder of the television program Breakthrough, which appears daily on networks across the country. Parsley is also the originator and president of the Center for Moral Clarity, a Christian grassroots organization, and he has authored more than 50 books.
