Book Abstract

Muzzled is Smerconish’s opinion of how political correctness has invaded every avenue of our lives and has reached such an absurd level that it now hinders our ability to fight terrorism. Words and actions have become muzzled by an oversensitive culture willing to sacrifice individualism, a hallmark of our nation, in favor of political correctness and multiculturalism.

The book is written as a humorous but disturbing analysis of how the disease of PC is changing our country through examples that seem to defy logic. Smerconish shows how we have allowed an atmosphere of censorship to invade our daily lives. We have gone beyond respecting differences to a victim-filled society where people actively seek out indiscretions that are now grounds for government and legal action. Smerconish asserts that this is all paving the way for serious threats to our cultural identity and national security.
