Road Trip

One morning, Marilyn walked into the nursery to check on her baby Linsy and was greeted by an astonishing glow of light that surrounded her baby’s crib. She was frightened by the bright beam of light at first but realized the power was coming from the heavens above.  She scurried over to see if Linsy was alright but shockingly, found that her beautiful little infant pulled herself up to embrace the light. Miraculously, she was only 4-months old and standing in her crib. The heavenly glow was Linsy’s strength.

One afternoon, Audrey, Cara’s mother sat her down on the floor to play with her toys in the family room while she swept the kitchen floor. Cara was only 6-months old. She watched as her mother move one of the chairs from beneath the table to sweep. Audrey turned to reach for the dustpan and shockingly found Cara sitting near the table lifting up one of the chairs with one hand so that her mother could finish sweeping. Her mother was amazed at what she had witnessed and was overwhelmed that her baby was blessed with such enormous strength.

Linsy & Cara became very close friends since Pre-School because their parents were good friends as the two often played together.  Linsy was now age 21-years old and Cara was age 21 and a couple of months older. They shared and did just about everything together a lot like sisters. Yet, there was something very special about the both of them.

One day the girls decided to take a fun road trip up the coast. It was a bright clear sunny day of the beginning of spring in San Francisco, California, a very beautiful this time of year. Along the way, they could smell the ocean breeze, as they watched the waves roll in and crash against the rocks from the highway precipice below. What a pleasant feeling they felt that day!

Linsy acquired a beautiful new red Corvette Stingray as a gift from her Dad for her 21st birthday and she wanted to take a road trip to check out the performance of her new vehicle. Her dad was proud of her accomplishments in the defense academy and the red corvette was a symbol of his love and admiration for a job well done. Cara also received special training that made her very extraordinary. They were driving along with the top down, the music loud, their hair blowing in the wind feeling mirthfully frivolous.

Linsy pulled out a cigarette from the pack and offered Cara one to try for the first time. Cara was excited and very inquisitive about indulging in grown-up things and smoking cigarettes was one of them. Cara gladly took it and lit it. Not really knowing how to smoke a cigarette, she inhaled a little too much too fast causing her to hack, gag and suffocate. Linsy hurried in assisting her by gently tapping her back but due to Cara's desperate flounce it was quite difficult furthermore noticing her miserable grimace, Linsy pulled the car over into the emergency lane of the highway so Cara could catch her wind. The smoke she inhaled made her very lightheaded so avidly she stumbled out of the car to regain her composure.

Linsy stared at her then chuckled, “Cara, are you sure you’re ready for the big leagues? You shouldn't puff so hard! It's bad enough to be a smoker and at the rate you're going, your lungs won’t last awfully long because you’re going to kill yourself trying to smoke for the very first time! See, watch me”.  She demonstrated.
