In the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, known as the city of brotherly love, several different circumstances occurred where the lack of obedience of God’s word transpired. These short stories reminds us that if we aren’t mindful of our actions in living righteously by God’s word, we are committing abomination. If we just read, study and live by His word with faith in understanding that we must be born again to enter the gates of Heaven. That if we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts God raised Jesus from the dead then we will be saved. The word says, “In my Father’s house there are many mansions” where Jesus will go to prepare a place for us to live an eternal life. A place I know we all desire to go. Hence, God sees all and knows all, therefore we can’t hide anything from HIM.

Everything in life has its price or its purpose and often our predicaments aren’t easy to withstand. As we discipline our children to be obedient, our obedience is also usually tested by the word of God. From our afflictions, tribulations, adversities and even in prosperity all make up the essentials of our daily existence, which God has created and inculcated in each and every one of us, man woman and child. God said, “It wasn’t going to be a perfect life”, we all will have to go through something just as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. We are not perfect, of course, there's no one perfect but God. Nevertheless, being mindful that even at our worst and with the tiniest mustard seed of faith; God can bring us through some things and pour out blessings unimaginable. Only He has the power to make all things possible if we believe and trust in Him for He sees all and knows all. He is the Alpha and Omega, maker of heaven and earth, the beginning and the end.

In the beautiful city Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, identified as the city of brotherly love; known to be a place where anyone of color or ethnic background can live together in peace and harmony. Consequently, love, understanding, respect, peace, and harmony were just some of the essentials Chandra Toler wished she had acquired with her new significant other Bryant Abrams. They met on a blind date through a date matching website and seem to vibe right from the start. Chandra was a sophomore in college and was looking for love; someone to share her similar interests. After dating for several months during their sizzling love affair, they cohabited and it wasn’t long before she was with child.
Things went well for the first several months of living together and as she began to advance in her pregnancy, her education became less of a priority. As she began to frequently miss classes which placed her further and further behind. In her seventh month, Chandra’s gainful development changed her from the once proportioned beauty into a pudgy, bloated, unsightly woman which Bryant started to despise with much regret. After work, he started hanging out more with his friends and coming home late neglecting her.
Bryant had become so bitter and evil towards her until severe confrontations evolved, as she became quite unhappy and very depressed. Bryant had fallen out of love with her when rumors surfaced that he’d quickly engaged in another relationship. Sadly, he denounced the child she was carrying swearing that it wasn't his child. Chandra was heartbroken and tried to reason with him but her efforts were futile. He wasn’t ready for fatherhood and felt trapped, as it became obvious that the new woman in his life had stolen his heart and nothing else really mattered. The stress of his actions consumed her when, unfortunately, she went into early labor and he wasn’t around to help her.
