Documenta' is an exhibition of contemporary art, held every five years in Kassel, Germany. It was started in 1955 by artist, teacher and art curator Arnold Bode. Its main goal was to banish the cultural darkness of Nazism and make Germany a center of modern art. Organized every five years for 100 days in the international art world, this art exhibition is recognized as a reflection of contemporary international art. This year's art curator of the exhibition was an Indonesian artist group called 'Ruangrupa', who exhibited the works of 1500 international artists (mainly groups) in 32 selected locations. The main structural concept of this year's Documenta is Lumbung. It is a term used in Indonesia to designate group-based barns for storing rice. Surplus crops are stored for the benefit of the community in Lumbung. The current Documenta differs from its past editions, as this exhibition directly questions the colonial way of thinking of our contemporary world and is a clear demonstration that art is not just an individualistic endeavor, but a collective social practice, determined by the economic, political and geographical location of the artists with a psychological sense. Prepared the context. This context is established not only for a unique presentation of art practice, but also for its roots in thinking about the landlessness of indigenous groups, colonialism, racism, capitalism, patriarchy, global climate-centric catastrophe and ultimately the degradation of humanity. In this Documenta, Bangladesh's 'circle' art group has been invited.
