Brandon is a young man who has successfully completed his battle against his addiction to sex.  Unfortunately, he finds that he has inadvertently picked up another in the process.  He has become an alcoholic.Realising that he has merely substituted one bad addiction for one which is even worse, he resolves that sex is the lesser of the two evils and decides to go back to picking up girls.But he has one major problem.  He can’t enter a bar where he would meet girls.So he does the only thing he can - he invents a device which he can use to stop the elevator every time an attractive woman is inside with him alone. Will that help him?

The Beginning

Brandon stood at the bar of the local pub, wondering where the sounds of ’’Whiskey in the Jar’’ kept coming from. Suddenly, he realised it was him that was constantly humming the song. He was too drunk. On the bar in front of him sat a glass of whiskey, neat, and a large coin. Its yellow colour falsely signified gold, which was supposed to emphasize the importance of the time he spent celibate. Not in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. The large letters “Six months” accentuated the time he spent sexually abstinent.

Exactly half a year passed since he decided to stop the everyday flings. The period before that was full of meaningless sexual relations with various partners. Sometimes even with several different ones on the same day. No matter how interesting and full it made his life look, this behaviour didn’t come without its downsides.

One of them was the feeling of regret, which unavoidably followed his successful everyday activities. No matter how fulfilling his life seemed during the day, no matter how happy and satisfied he was, his evenings were filled with guilt. Sexual release that brought other people liberation filled him with the feeling of emptiness and wrongness. The partners he had short trysts with he mostly never saw again, or they never stuck around very long. Loneliness inevitably led to depression and that feeling of emptiness stayed an integral part of his life for a long time.
