Kandi's Kandy

Kandi smiled as she pressed her new sparkly key into the lock. With a twist of the key the door unlocked and she opened it. Tomorrow would be the grand opening of her bakery, Kandi's Kandy. She walked into the main dining area, there were 4 tables with pink table cloths with cupcakes on them. They were adorable. She was hoping the public would think so. She had never opened the blinds so people could see in, because she wanted it to be a grand reveal for a grand opening.

She made her way back towards the kitchen and began making all kinds of sweet confections. She had 13 dozen mini red velvet cupcakes in the oven as she whipped up a bowl of cream cheese icing. These were to be the free samples for tomorrow, so she didn't mind making them a day in advance. After the cupcakes cooled, she frosted all her sweet treats. She looked up at the clock and with a sigh. It had been two hours since she got there and it was now 6 PM. She had to get the sugar cookie dough made, it was best if it sat in the fridge for 8 hours. With that in mind she went over to the sink and began washing the frosting off her hands.

She looked into the mirror, hoping she wasn't looking to haggard after baking for so long. She feared what she'd look like tomorrow after coming in at 5 AM to bake and then working all day to close. She gave her reflection a smile, she wasn't looking to bad except for being covered from the chest down with flour and powdered sugar. Her red hair had been coiled into a bun on top of her head and she wore a green head band to keeping her hair from falling into the food. She tended to wear a lot of dark green's to match her eyes. Her lip stain was still intact, it was the only make up she wore. It was flame red to match her hair. Her skin looked as pale as the powder sugar on her, but that was normal for her. Red head and the sun just weren't friends.
