Here I address daily topics in society, politics and the economy, where I present my own view of things. It may be that some things don't exactly agree with what the general view is, but you can look at everything from different sides.

Foreword

Far be it from me to attack anyone here or to judge anyone. Rather, it is my view of things, as I interpret it below. It may well be that one or the other thinks that this would be a radical view of things. But sometimes it seems to me that you bury your head in the sand. Not reacting, will solve itself. I believe this thread runs through the entire body of writing. As I said, this is not paternalism of anyone, but my opinion on various things at home and abroad.

$400 billion for reconstruction

If you look at the way of thinking of some people, you can only wonder. A power-hungry despot attacks his neighboring country and destroys everything there. This is not only about military installations, but also about civilians. The population that lives there comes to the "kiss of the hand". Of course, there is no question that this country can be rebuilt after the end of the war, but who is supposed to finance the whole thing with such horrendous amounts. Once again, the Western community of states, and in particular the EU, has to hold it out. Russia, which has caused this with its ruler, will hardly contribute anything. It's just that you can't inject money forever, because the global economy doesn't look that rosy either. Shouldn't such people, who feel an uncanny urge for destruction, be put in their place before there is another world economic crisis and, as a result, a world war?

Useful idiots outside Russia

This is how a renowned magazine in America describes some states in the West. These include Hungary, Austria and Greece. Why it came to such a rating is apparently obvious. This supports the diffuse ideas of a despot in Russia by not exactly reducing imports from this aggressor state, but also increasing them. Just think of new contracts that Hungary has signed with Russia, which concerns gas imports and many other imports from that country. It's true that the Western community of states has now launched 11 packages of sanctions, but these are worthless if new treaties are concluded that counteract these sanctions. Of course, it is easier to get gas from this aggressor state than to look for alternatives, only with such measures you promote Putin's war chest. Thus, this president can continue his ideas of his "special operation" if you continue to shop in this country.

Contrary statements by a chairman

A few weeks ago, a new party chairman was elected in the SPÖ (Socialist Party of Austria). Even before this election, his credo was that he called himself a Marxist, but then recanted. There is a debate in our country about a sharp rise in inflation and it is difficult to reduce it. On the part of this party chairman, a suspension of VAT on food is being considered, but whether this is effective is questionable. Who is supposed to control whether this suspension of this tax also ends up in the customer's trade? However, another suggestion from this person is that the working week should be reduced to 32 hours with full wage compensation. How is this supposed to work if you are already annoyed with high inflation? Somehow, such a reduction in working hours has to be financed against it. This chairman has no proposals on this. Another aspect of such an action is that you always have problems finding qualified specialists. Such a reduction in working hours would also promote this problem. The extent to which this is approved by possible voters of this party will then be determined in the next National Council election. Of course, you can always make populist proposals, but you should also think them through to the end, because that's what politics should be there for, by making laws and decisions for the population.

ECJ (European Court of Justice) and case law

This Supreme Court is dealing with an issue that affects some 500 million citizens in the Union. The reason for this was that some complaints were made regarding the withdrawal of the asylum status and, as a result, deportation. Now, however, this highest court of the EU has come to the conclusion that a refugee cannot be deprived of this status of asylum, even if he or she has already been convicted of serious violations of the law. This includes, for example, murder and aggravated robbery. In other words, this person is allowed to continue to reside on the national territory and still with an asylum status. What should also be noted is the aspect of the deportation of offenders in their countries of origin. One hears again and again that these countries of origin are not necessarily prepared to take back their citizens. What is also incomprehensible in this reasoning of the ECJ is the reasoning for these actions. It is thought that asylum status can only be revoked if this person is also a danger to society. One can already imagine that this is not entirely understandable to an EU citizen. What, then, is a murderer? Is he not a danger to European society and can he continue to spend his life behind bars at the expense of the domestic taxpayer?

Tunisia and the European Community

Tunisia is being given 1 billion euros to stop the refugees and send them back, but what is the effect of that? People of different colors are hunted as if they had contagious diseases and then they are shipped to the no-man's-land between Tunisia and Libya, believing that they meet the requirements of the EU. However, if we can follow the Union's prerequisites, these funds are actually intended to set up reception camps in that country and, if necessary, to deport the migrants back to their countries of origin. But this is not the first time that the EU has made funds available to stem the flow of refugees. The whole thing was also practiced with Turkey with moderate success. It's true that the flow of refugees coming from Turkey has been somewhat restricted, but only Turkey has paid well for this. Since the money seems to be readily available in the Union, other third countries will also come on the scene and will be paid accordingly for the containment of the wave of refugees, as Turkey and Tunisia are demonstrating. When will there finally be a rethink within the EU when it comes to spending on the flow of refugees? Sooner or later, the Union will no longer be able to afford such a spending policy, and then what? Will we then face another global economic crisis?

Meeting of Austria, Serbia and Hungary

Our Chancellor invites Serbia and EU member Hungary to Vienna to discuss the refugee crisis and has to hear from the Hungarian President that he has 0 migrants in his country. Why? Precisely because, contrary to EU laws and regulations, he simply waves through the refugees who come via the Balkan route. As far as Serbia is concerned, a lot has been done with regard to the asylum status of people from Tunisia or India, for example, only the Hungarian Prime Minister boasts that he has no asylum seekers. We in Austria had to deal with a good 100,000 migrants last year and Hungary then lets these people continue to make pilgrimages through their country without any registration. Now, however, the European Community should not only be an economic union, but one should also take into account the solidarity aspect and not offend another member state with such statements. Wasn't it just the case that when we joined the EU, there were certain requirements as far as this was concerned, and do individual states have to pull out again and again and only serve their own electoral potential? It is also worth noting that Hungary has taken action to release smugglers. Hungary's argument at the time was that it could not afford to imprison smugglers. Why do you pick them up first and then let them "run" again?

Blackmail or not?

I'll give you that if you give me something else in return. Is that the policy we are practicing today? Or shouldn't you give up your own desires? The Turkish president is demanding that he can only agree to Sweden's accession to NATO if Turkey's accession to the European Union is also accelerated. But since the one and the other have almost nothing to do with each other, such concerns of individual states should be avoided. Above all, the EU's requirements for Turkey's accession do not look rosy either. Is there the rule of law as well as democratic tendencies in this candidate country, or does this country still have a lot to do? In addition, it should also be noted that the economy in this country is not exactly what one imagines in the Union. You have to struggle with enormous inflation and you probably assume that you can limit this by joining the EU. But don't we already have enough states in this community of states called the EU that are dubbed gross recipients? Turkey should first make the economy EU-ready and then philosophize
