Duke was a dead man walking. His attraction to another would turn out to be fatal.
Mary Stonehearted, a beautiful woman, talked with Duke Meely at 5:00 PM on a Friday in the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel where they were staying.
“Hi, pleased to meet you,” she said.
“Same here,” he replied.
Next she said, “I’m bored. I have not had sex or slept with anyone in a while. Are you available to satisfy my needs?” He replied, “Yes, I am.”
“Great! What room are you sleeping in?”
“I’m in Room 306.”
“How about I come up there at eleven tonight?”
“That would be perfect. I look forward to seeing you again.”
“Cool! I’ll see you at eleven tonight.”
“Wonderful! Goodbye for now.”
“Goodbye.”
They went their separate ways. Mary arrived at Duke’s hotel room at eleven, as promised.
“Come in,” he told her.
She sat down on his bed and asked, “Are you ready to take care of business in bed?”
“I’m ready,” Duke replied.
Once he got into bed with her, they pulled down their pants, put on a condom and had sexual intercourse.
“Ooh, ah! This feels fantastic,” the woman announced.
“You’re right,” the man agreed.
They continued doing their thing. Ten minutes later, they chose to call it quits.
“You are sweating and probably thirsty,” Mary feigned concern.
“Have a bottle of water,” she said as she handed Duke a water bottle from her purse.
He took a few swallows and that was that. His life quickly ceased to exist. Mary emptied out the bottle into the bathroom sink, put the empty bottle back into her purse and took off saying, “I have to cover my tracks.”
