The Believer’s Authority is a book worth reading! It provides powerful insights into the power and authority that a child of God has in redemption. Every child of God, no matter the race, age, or educational background, is entitled to authority in Christ Jesus. However, the major hindrance to walking in that authority is basically ignorance or sin.

Without doubt, the believer’s authority in Christ Jesus can stop all satanic operations in any generation or environment. However, it will take accurate and sufficient understanding to activate it in your own life. Understanding determines your spiritual height and command. The devil will take advantage of you if you lack understanding. There is no force of darkness that can stand the authority in the mouth of a believer. It is time to get back to your covenant roots of redemption and let every devil give way to your glorious destiny. I pray as you read this book, your life won’t be the same.

Get this book, and let your light in Christ Jesus shine so that you will walk in supernatural dominion over every devil and demon!!

God once said to me, “Go! I’m sending you like I sent Moses, my prophet, to liberate my people from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching and teaching of the Word of Faith. Raise the foundations of many generations, prophesy over them and school them into supernatural knowledge, wisdom and exploits; impart into them my power and wisdom; release them into their glorious and unparalleled destinies.”

Introduction

To be a child of God is a divine privilege that can’t be taken for granted or undermined. It means coming to a place where you have surrendered your entire life to Jesus Christ in true repentance. Then you get to accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. Further, you also get to bear forth the fruit of repentance. If there are no fruits in your life to match your repentance, then your spiritual relationship with God will be questionable.

Matthew 3:7-10

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.  And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Saints, after you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, then the next thing for you is to bear the fruits worthy of repentance. Otherwise, there is no way you can walk in your God-ordained authority as a believer; without the fruits of your salvation in Christ Jesus. Many people, even Christians, don’t know that your spiritual command as a believer is rooted in your spiritual walk with God. Yes, it is!

Nowadays, we have believers or Christians who don’t mind whether they have the fruits of repentance. Instead, they focus on being popular and wanting God to use them in every way possible. Of course, there is nothing wrong with having the desire to be used by God in signs, miracles, and wonders. However, the more you grow in the fruits of your repentance, the more you will grow in authority as a believer. Then the more God will get moved to use you in every area of your life. That is God’s divine plan!

In this book, I will talk about your covenant authority in Christ Jesus. Unless you exercise your authority as a believer, the devil will take you for granted. There is no amount of darkness that can defeat a child of God who understands his /her authority in redemption. It is time you walked in your God-ordained authority! The devil and his cohorts—demonic forces and powers of darkness are no longer in charge of your life.

Many years ago, they brought a young boy to me whom the devil tormented without mercy. Now, because of the affliction, the boy eventually dropped out of school. Sad to say, someone used to beat him with a huge stick so much that he got thin. It had been going on for quite a long time before they brought him to me. The hardest part of his situation was that the person who used to beat him was not visible to anyone, but only to the boy. God have mercy! I believe that was witchcraft at its highest level. The devil is a liar!

Without a doubt, the boy was helpless and had no one to help him. The same issue brought sadness, hopelessness, and fear to the entire family. Then, when they brought him to me, I prayed for him and encouraged him to have faith in God and His Word. Why? That is because God is all-powerful, merciful, life-restoring, and loving in all His ways. God has the power to deliver, heal, save, transform, reform and bless. When I prayed for the boy, I knew in my spirit by faith that God had already reversed his situation.

Then, after two weeks, the same family came back with a testimony of the boy’s deliverance. Glory be to God! Jesus delivered him from that satanic oppression by His mighty power. Apart from that, he also went back to school to resume his studies, which he had put aside because of the affliction. Jesus heals, saves, delivers, preserves, and restores!

No matter who you are and where you live, God wants the best for your life. As a child of God, you have all it takes to walk in supernatural authority in Christ Jesus. Just go out there and use it by faith and understanding!

Chapter 1

Who is a Believer?

Acts 4:32-35 (NLT)

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.

Are You a Believer?

Nowadays, being a believer in Christ Jesus is something that very few people or Christians understand. Hence, they treat it with levity or no care — no wonder there are no fruits of repentance to match. The early church, as shown in Acts 4:32-35, understood the value of being a believer in Christ Jesus. We can’t challenge them no matter our opinions!

The early church believers did what they did in reverence to God and His Word. Today, you will meet lots of believers or Christians whose confessions and actions do not resemble that of a child of God. God forbid! There is no way you can walk in the believer’s authority if your lifestyle does not match the Word of God. It has nothing to do with our feelings, theology, or perception, but with the Word of God.

James 2:18-20

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Any person can be a believer to some extent. Anything that shapes anyone’s life in a particular direction or culture is a belief system. Being a believer is powerful, fascinating, and exciting. Well, even demons believe and tremble! They can’t simply stand God’s Word and His holy presence!

Friends, the power of our belief system is in the fruits of our repentance. Without that, we might as well forget about walking in our God-ordained authority. Are you a fruit-bearing believer? Are you looking forward to bearing the fruits of your salvation? Well, my prayer for you is that you become a believer conscious of your walk with God. The state of your spiritual life will determine your command in the spirit realm.

What you believe will always shape and define your life and destiny. It doesn’t matter who you are today, somehow and somewhere you believe in something, knowingly or unknowingly. However, the right belief system will always give you peace and eternal life, while the wrong belief system will bring you into bondage and death. Hence, it is high time you pondered on what you believe—it is very important! Otherwise, the devil will rob you of your future. It is the devil you tolerate in your life that destroys you.

There was a city mentioned in the Bible that was committed to some sort of worship and religious beliefs. The people in that city were worshipping an unknown God — the people of Athens, Greece, to be exact. Athens is one of the oldest named cities in the world, having been continuously inhabited for perhaps 5,000 years. Without a doubt, those people believed in something, but it was a god they did not know. It is dangerous to believe in what you don’t know. What you don’t know can always kill you before your time.

Acts 17:22-25

Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopa- gus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

Most of the time, what people believe in (wrong or right) becomes their life and worship. However, some people believe without commitment, such that you can even entice them to change their belief system. Friends, being a believer in something is an enormous commitment; it calls for sacrifice and total devotion. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus, yet you are not committed to God, then the devil won’t have a problem with you. Be ready to die for what you believe — be ready to announce Jesus anywhere you go!

What is the dictionary meaning of a believer?

A person who feels certain about the truth of a religion or religious ideas. A believer is also someone who has a firm opinion that something is right.

What is the dictionary meaning of believe?

To have confidence in the truth or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof. It also means to be persuaded of the truth or existence of something.

What Do You Believe?

John 1:12-13 (AMP)

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—they are born of God—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Acts 16:30-32

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

Acts 4:10-12

Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Friends, no matter what beliefs people have in this world, there is only one name given under Heaven by which we must get saved—the name of Jesus! Hence, in this book, we are dealing with someone who believes in Christ Jesus. Someone who has forsaken this world through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Yes, someone who has shunned wickedness and is now following Jesus Christ and His teachings.

In fact, when we talk of the believer’s authority, it is not just believing anything. Instead, you have to be someone who believes in Christ Jesus and His Word. There is no way you can walk in the believer’s authority without Jesus being your Lord and Saviour. You must be born again and willing to walk with Jesus in every way. Apostle Paul once said in 2 Timothy 1:12:

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
