Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given the Church. I’m glad to say Jesus never taught His disciples on how to sing or preach, but how to pray. That is because prayer is very important for destiny fulfilment. The lives of many people today got stopped because there is no one to pray for them. Prayer is a weapon of deliverance and dominion in times of battle.

Every child of God prays in their own way or definition. That is great! However, I came to discover that prayer is on different levels. Yes, prayer is not something you do because you are in trouble, but it must be a lifestyle. Prayer is the engine and fuel of your destiny. There are certain dimensions of breakthroughs you can never access without prayer. That is why prayer is so important!

I grew up in a place of extraordinary prayer and fasting. Hence, I discovered that there are different levels of prayer. Thus, in this book I will share deep insights or things that will birth a prayer revolution in your life to transform your life and generation.

God once said to me, “Go! I’m sending you like I sent Moses, my prophet, to liberate my people from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching and teaching of the Word of Faith. Raise the foundations of many generations, prophesy over them and school them into supernatural knowledge, wisdom and exploits; impart into them my power and wisdom; release them into their glorious and unparalleled destinies.”

Introduction

Many people today claim to be prayer warriors, even sinners claim to be praying to God. You discover that someone will go to do robbery and still ask God to help him or/ her not to get caught. Now, if everyone claims to be praying, what is real prayer? Well, prayer is divine communication to God, based on His Word and promises. Friends, even though everyone asserts to be praying, not every prayer offered will always enter the ears of God. Not every executed prayer will command God’s divine attention.

I have heard of people who pray to God that He may help them achieve their sex trafficking, money laundering, witchcraft, alcohol, and brothel businesses. The same people will even quote a proverb that says, “God helps those who help themselves.” Well, the proverb itself is not even in the Bible—it is not Bible-based. It has no place in God’s divine agenda. I believe God can’t answer such kinds of prayers at all. If He did, then He would contradict His Word, and that is the last thing God will ever do in His existence.

It is impossible for God to dishonour His Word—it is not in His nature or existence. He will always remain faithful to His holy Word forever. That is why He has exalted His Word above all things, even above His own name (Psalm 138:1-2). The Word of God is His integrity—He cannot deny Himself—He is too faithful to lie! It is for the same reason He doesn’t listen to prayers offered to support or perpetuate wickedness.

Isaiah 59:1-2

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

Prayer is a holy convocation between God and His people. It is the interaction of the Holy Spirit with us in order for God to intervene in our human affairs. Prayer is holy, so praying for you to offer your body to immorality is not prayer at all. Instead, it is wickedness! Praying to God for you to succeed at killing somebody is the highest level of deception. Others pray to God that He may prosper their drug and alcohol business. God have mercy! All those prayers, no matter how long you pray, will not reach God.

Then, the other thing people do is confess God’s grace while enjoying sin. Sad to say, some of them do it as a prayer to God — they don’t even care about repenting and changing their ways. I believe that is not prayer and God won’t listen to such prayers, no matter how long you pray. I have seen people who nurse their weaknesses, taking advantage of God’s mercy. God forbid! When we talk of prayer that attracts God’s attention, it is the one that is offered in holiness. I pray you won’t take prayer for granted in Jesus’ name.

Another thing is that prayer is not designed for asking needs only. Is there anything wrong with asking God for needs in prayer? No! However, prayer must be a channel for God’s children to ascend to the mountains of God in fellowship. Prayer is much more for having divine fellowship with our living God. For some people, the only time they pray is when they want something from God. Well, when your fellowship with God comes first, then everything else you are looking for in life will come to you.

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Isaiah 65:24

It shall also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Saints, it is never too late to put God first in your life and everything you are looking for will follow you without sweat!!

Chapter 1

What is Prayer?

Luke 11:1- 4

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.”

Prayer is a Spiritual Force

Hebrews 5:7

Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear.

Prayer is a spiritual force that you and I can’t ignore, no matter the case. It is also a divine link or gateway into the supernatural realm of God’s presence. Jesus took all His time in Luke 11:1-4 to teach His disciples on how to pray. He also shared with them a life transforming parable in Luke 18:1-8 concerning the power of consistent prayer of faith.

Then, in 2 Chronicles 7: 1-3, when Solomon made an end to his prayers, fire suddenly came down from Heaven. The fire was accompanied by the Shekhinah glory of God. The glory of God was so much powerful that the priests could not enter the house of the Lord. Prayer is a spiritual weapon to reckon with today, no matter our opinions.

2 Chronicles 7:1-2

When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.

When we are praying, we are commanding the hand of God for supernatural manifestations. Beyond a doubt, prayer will always move the hand of God for extraordinary signs, miracles, and wonders. That is why when people are going through problems, and they decide to pray, there is always a change of story. Why? That is because prayer is a spiritual force that commands divine change and destroys all yokes of bondage in Christ Jesus. Prayer must always be your solution to any daunting situation in this wicked world.

Many years ago, I did my high school education at one of the boarding schools in my hometown. It was such an interesting moment because to get to school I had to walk as I couldn’t afford a car and there was no public transport. I enjoyed studying at that boarding school as it was educative, good and life-transforming. Sadly, one morning, something disheartening and nerve-breaking happened to me. What happened? Well, someone stole my only pair of shoes that morning—I did not have spare shoes at all!

Friends, if you live in a wealthy nation or come from a rich family, losing a pair of shoes might be nothing to you. Sad to say, with me, it was the only pair of shoes that I had and needed an urgent solution. Then, the only option I had was to go back home until I got another pair of shoes. It was not a good thing at all because it was an obstruction to my studies. It was embarrassing, terrible, draining, and disorienting. In fact, I didn’t know what to tell my parents, who supported and encouraged me throughout my entire life.

Now, after weighing all the options, the only thing that I resorted to was prayer. There is nothing as powerful as prayer! It is the engine of our lives and destiny in Christ Jesus! What did I do next? Well, instead of going back home, I went out to seek a place where I could communicate with God. I was with one of my best Christian friends. Of course, going back home to buy another pair of shoes was an option, but not the best. Prayer is always the best option in your life if you encounter challenges of any kind.

Then, in the evening, we went to the church sanctuary to pray so that I could invoke the hand of God for divine help. Now, as I was calling upon God, suddenly, I saw a vision in the spirit — it was a vision of a key and padlock. The message was crystal clear that God had given me victory. Each time you pray by faith, prayer will always trigger supernatural happenings. Perhaps a key and padlock may mean nothing to you, but as soon as I saw that vision, I sensed a breakthrough in my spirit. I sensed God’s visitation in my life.

One thing I want you to know is that each time you are praying, pay attention to pictures or visions that appear in your spirit. Those are what we call “spiritual” or “prophetic” messages. It is God communicating with you using symbolism. I’m excited to say when I went back to the school campus, God by His Spirit showed me the person who took my shoes. Then, after approaching him, he confessed to stealing them. There is unimaginable, unfathomable, unparalleled, and glorious power in prayer.

I’m glad to say the same night I got my shoes back. Glory be to God! Then, the man who stole them got punished terribly by the school captains. Without a doubt, if people don’t pray, nothing happens! Prayer is a spiritual force that commands God’s power for our rescue and dominion. Prayer is a pacesetter, trailblazer, barrier breaker, and life transformer. You can’t do without it as a child of God. Jesus spent most of His days on mountaintops praying with fervent crying to Him who could save Him from death.

Hebrews 5:7 (AMP)

In the days of His earthly life, Jesus offered up both [specific] petitions and [urgent] supplications [for that which He needed] with fervent crying and tears to the One who was [always] able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission toward God [His sinlessness and His unfailing determination to do the Father’s will].

Each time people pray by faith, they bring Heaven down. Prayer will always command the hand of God for signs, miracles, and wonders. Hence, God is calling us to implore Him to intervene in our human affairs through prayer. The other thing He is calling us to do is to command Him concerning His promises and the works of His hands. You and I have the covenant right to command God to change our ugly situations by His divine power. If we don’t do it, He won’t do it—He can only do it through our prayers.

Isaiah 45:11-12 (NKJV)

Thus says the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me. I have made the earth, And created man on it. I—My hands—stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded.

Isaiah 45:11-12 (AMP)
