I was born and grew up in the church compound and continue thus till my father retired from church service. In 1947, on a certain Sunday, my Dad came back from church service and made me wear his cassock. My elder brother later told me that he did that in other to attach me to the church. I started to ring church bell at the age of 8 years. I attend Primary School and at the end i was employed as a Pupil teacher "PT" in St Mark's Ndiakeme Arondizuogu in 1957. After 4 months i was transffered to St. Philip's ANglican Church Umuduru Egbeaguru.
In 1959, i became an assistant Teacher "AT", i later entered into Elementary Teacher's College "ETC" Obosi in 1960 and 1961. In 1962, i became a Grade III teacher was posted to St Matthew's Anglican School Amaokpara . In 1963, i was posted to St. Paul's School Nkwerre. In 1965, i entered into Teacher Traninig Collge "TTC" Egbu and in 1966 i finished at St. James "TTC" umudi and became a GRADE II TEACHER. IN 1967 i was posted to St. Luke's Primary School as a Grade II Teacher.
The Nigeria/Biafra war which started in 1967 disorganised the school system. I joined the Biafran Army in 1968 and remained there till the end of the war in 1970. In 1973, i was sent to St. Barnabas School Akokwa where i remained till 1976 when i was transfered to community Primary School Umuna as the Head master.
In 1975, while preaching in St. Peter's Anglican Church Akokwa, i saw a lady among the congregation and decided that she should be my wife and God made it to happen so. I wedded my wife in 1976. She attened Enerst Gems Grammar School, Akokwa, WTC. Enugu and University of Nigeria Nsukka where she did her Diploma and B.Ed.
In 1977, I entered the University of Calabar and has my 1st Degree in 1981. In 1981/82 i did my Youth Service in College of Education Ijebu Ode. In 1982 I entered University of Ibadan for my Master's Degree but due to ill health i had to withdraw. I was then posted to Umueshi Secondary School. In 1989 i joined the church Ministry as a Church Teacher and was posted to St. Barth's Anglican Church Nempi and also taught in Nempi Secondary School. In 1990 i was posted to St Andrew's Anglican Church Umuowa. From there i retired voluntarily from civil service after serving for 34 years. In 1990 I eneterd Trinity College Umuahia as an ordanand. In 1992 I ordained a priest by the late Bishop, His Lordship. The Rt Rev. S.C.N. Ebo of the blessed momory and was sent to St Stephen's Ang. Church Uzii as their first priest, I also taught in St John's Chrisostom Junior Seminary Osina.
In 1994 I was sent to Trinity Convent Orsuihiteukwa to be the Principal and also priest in St Andrew's Anglican Church Orsuihiteukwa. In 1998, I was made a Canon by the Late Bishop of the Diocese of Okigwe-Orlu and Orlu(First Bishop) The Rt Rev. S.C.N. Ebo of the blessed memory. I remained in orsuihiteukwa for 7 years. In 2001 i was sent to St. Mary's Anglican Church Awo-Omama. I was made an Archdeacon by His Lordship. The Most Rev. B.C.I Okoro and was transferred to St. Paul's Anglican Church Nkwerre.
