Introduction

Understanding the Divine Secrets of God contains eight chapters on various topics or subjects. It got designed to equip you and me for supernatural encounters with God. Assuredly, God inspired and anointed me to unveil secrets in this book for your next level in life, calling, ministry, and career in Christ Jesus.

Much more, it will help you lay hold of divine revelations that will propel you to greater heights of life in your walk with God. Hence, it doesn’t matter where you are at in life today—it is time to get up and find your place in God’s divine agenda. Once spiritual understanding becomes your delight, life becomes a blessing instead of a burden.

Every kingdom accomplishment thrives on divine secrets of God. What are divine secrets? These are hidden truths of God’s Word, which the Holy Spirit reveals to us. However, if you are not desperate for God, then the Holy Spirit won’t reveal them to you. There has to be a longing or thirst for God in order to encounter the divine mysteries of God in Christ Jesus.

There are certain secrets in the Word of God which, when you see them, will always enhance your life and destiny beyond measure. I pray God will open your spiritual eyes to every spiritual truth in His Word. Then the devil you are worried about today won’t have a place in your life tomorrow. Instead, you will walk in dominion over every devil, demon, wizard, witch, principality, and power as you delve deeper into the incorruptible and majestic secrets of God.

I encourage you to open up your heart and receive from the Lord as you read this book. This book has many secrets to walking in supernatural dominion in Christ Jesus. In the year 1990, I suffered from a terminal disease (spinal cord and brain condition) that deteriorated my health rapidly. There was no hope of living again; the highly trained medical doctors gave up on me. The only plan was for them to carry out a surgical operation on my spinal cord. However, in March 1991, God supernaturally healed me at a miracle crusade.

Thus, I am writing this book as a testimony to the body of Christ Jesus at large. Without a doubt, if you can just hold on to God and His Word, He will glorify Himself in your life. Look, when God glorifies himself, it means He has turned your troubles into miracles, your shame into honour, your poverty into abundance, your stagnation into progress, your tears into joy, your sickness into healing and your mourning into dancing in Christ Jesus. May God bless you and stay blessed as you read this book!!

CHAPTER 1

The Power Behind Peace

The Matchless Value of Peace

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

One day, I met a young man of Indian origin who seemed very unsettled in his spirit. The first thing I heard him ask was, “Will you please pray for me?” Well, I answered him, “Surely, why not?” He then instructed me to pray with everything within me. He had a problem with his permanent residency papers in Australia — he urgently needed God’s divine intervention! Now, I believe it doesn’t matter your race or ethnicity, when you are going through predicaments of all kinds, you will always reach out for peace wherever you can find it.

That’s why the value of peace is unreachable, matchless, incalculable and unfathomable. This man was not a Christian, but a Sikh — an adherent of Sikhism. Sikhism is a religion that originated in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent around the end of the 15th century CE. The search for peace in somebody’s life can not be underestimated. Peace is the greatest asset to triumphant and abundant living—peace of the soul, mind, spirit, and body.

In his book The Power of the Blood, Maxwell H. A. Whyte writes that when Solomon was dedicating the temple to the Lord (1Kings 8:5), a peace offering was made on behalf of the entire nation of Israel, and it is recorded that 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep were sacrificed. I believe that was such a serious and unparalleled spiritual commitment to God. Hence, no one today should neglect the importance of God’s divine peace in our lives.

Besides, when Solomon offered those animals, it shows the matchless value behind the need for peace in all generations. Look, to have thousands upon thousands of animals slaughtered in one day for the sake of acquiring peace was not a joke at all. Guess what? The valleys got filled with the blood of animals because somebody needed God’s divine peace somehow and somewhere. It is for this reason you and I can’t treat the message of peace today with levity and expect to experience God’s divine peace in our own lives.

Isaiah 48:17-18

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

John 14:26-27

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

In the New Testament dispensation, you don’t have to shed the blood of animals in order to secure yourself peace or comfort. No! Jesus Himself has become our eternal peace—He is the very prince of peace! Hence, wherever He is, you will always find abundant peace. In fact, according to John 14:27, Jesus left peace for us so that we could live in dominion all the days of our lives. Look, every child of God is a carrier of divine peace because of our redemption in Christ Jesus, which was ratified by His holy blood.

Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Peace is the Gateway to Success

Peace is the gateway to success of all kinds in Christ Jesus. In fact, the word peace in Greek is derived from a composite root of the word Eirene, which implies wholeness, tranquility, rest, harmony, peace, and quietness. Now, with what Jesus did on the cross for us, there is no need to be in fear, no matter what comes against you. Many people today in this generation have given so much room to fear and distress. Hence, defeat is now working in their lives, culminating in depression and anxiety. God forbid!

Besides, operating in fear is a sign that your faith and peace are struggling. That is because fear and peace can’t co-exist—they are enemies to each other. Did you know you can’t make proper and bold decisions for your life when you are operating in fear? I encourage you to never tolerate fear in your life or environments. Fear is a snare and destroyer of so many lives of people—old or young. Even the devil works well in an environment infected with fear. Fear is always the devil’s stronghold for your defeat.

I believe giving your life to fear is handing your entire future over to failure and defeat. Yes, once you allow fear dominating you, you have just sold your entire destiny to destruction. What I know from experience is that there is no future for the fearful. Many people today are under depression, pressure, distress, and oppression due to fear in their lives. Look, God’s peace never operates where fear gets tolerated or embraced. Also, God never works with people who operate in fear—no matter how cute they might be.

Judges 6:22-23

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.” Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.”

In the above Scripture, Gideon, the Judge of Israel, almost missed his calling into ministry because of the fear that invaded his life. Now, I don’t know if the fear mentioned in Judges 6:22-23 was the fear of the awesomeness or holiness of God. No matter the case, fear is fear! I believe God wants you and me to walk in peace and not fear. Fear is a snare! You can’t go wrong when you establish your entire life and destiny in God’s divine peace. God has designed His peace for our spiritual guidance and protection in life.

Peace is God’s divine plan for walking in supernatural dominion and safety. People who walk in divine peace have an unusual strength that gets them moving, even though everyone else gets discouraged in life. Look, where peace is, people will always rejoice without being forced or conjured—it is just natural in them. Now, the reason for divine peace in our lives is so that we could live in total victory and rest. A place where you are just in command of the affairs of your life and destiny in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

When you get established in the peace of God, everything else gives way to your voice in God. Such that whatever you declare or command attracts the attention of Heaven. Friends, the peace of God will always bring you into a realm of divine royalty and favor. A place where unprecedented breakthroughs and wonders become your portion in Christ Jesus. Well, this has nothing to do with anyone’s opinion, but God’s holy Word.

Without a doubt, God has promised us abundant life and peace in Christ Jesus. Why? So that we could be partakers of His divine nature, the nature that knows no sadness or limitations. God’s nature is so divine that all things submit to its presence and power. Friends, God’s promises are not there to entertain us, but to give us a glorious future. You may say, “But Pastor George, how can that happen to me when I’m going through problems beyond my comprehension?” Well, the Bible in the book of Mark 10:27 says:

Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.

Certainly, there is nothing too hard or impossible with God—the creator of heaven and earth. There is nothing that can stand above His divine power and existence—He is God Almighty! However, the only thing we need in order to walk in His divine promises is faith and prayer. Each time you have faith in God and His Word, you trigger God’s promises. Hence, studying and meditating upon God’s Word will always enable you to walk in God’s promises—including peace! God’s peace is your heritage in Christ Jesus—will you receive it?

I believe as children of God; we need more understanding today concerning God’s divine peace. That is why the secrets revealed in this book will help change many things in your life. Your life won’t be the same—you will see the supernatural hand of God at work almost immediately. Your position will change from being ordinary to being extraordinary, from being a borrower to being a lender, and from being a loser to a being winner.

In addition, your life will change from being a hater to being a lover, from being weak to being strong; from being a doubter to being a believer. Then from being a failure to being an achiever; from being foolish to being wise; from being lazy to being hard-working; also from being visionless to being visionary; and from being prayerless to being prayerful. Friends, it is all about the light of God’s Word at work in your life.

Psalm 119:130

The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Unlimited Peace Will Cost You

Peace is not something that can be made with human power or intellect. No! It’s not even a figment of your imagination, but something you can experience in your own life. God’s divine peace is not an assumption — instead, it is real, tangible and invincible. Also, in case you didn’t know, God’s divine plan and desire for us today is so that we can walk in His divine peace without measure. Now, the only way to engage God’s peace in our lives is to abide by His Word. How? By meditating on God’s Word day and night.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

I believe when you focus your mind on God’s Word, the peace of God will flow into your life unhindered. In fact, the level to which you surrender your life to God and His Word determines the degree to which God’s peace will reign in your life. Without a doubt, people will always surrender their lives and minds to God at different levels or degrees. Of course, there are people who find it hard to surrender to God, while others don’t have any issue with it. However, surrendering to God will always bring liberty, joy, and peace.
