Kate made her way to the other side of the room, she was about to be called and it made her a bit anxious.
She kept on convincing herself that it was for the best and that she needed to make sure that she was ready before making her decision.
Kate kept on glancing at the time and debating with herself on whether it was appropriate for her to be there or if she should just wake up and leave.
The nurse came in and called out her name, at this point, it was too late to leave so she decided to walk in and get examined.
As she walked into the examination room, she couldn’t help but notice people staring at her.
“They probably think that am here for an STD test!” she thought to herself.
She was the youngest in the room, so it was normal for them to judge her without reason or without getting to know her.
Kate got into the room and did as the nurse instructed, the doctor then walked in and had a conversation with her. The expression on his when Kate told him that she wanted to have sex for the first time was priceless.
He gave her advice after factoring a few factors such as her age and experience. The doctor went on and gave her a conversation about the known sexually transmitted diseases and contraceptives.
After they were done, Kate changed her clothes and made her way to the nurse’s station, Apparently, the doctor had shared the sentiments that sex was addictive and once she started it would be hard to stop.
Kate took a glance at her watch and walked out, it was time, time for her to go home and prepare for the evening that was about to change her life forever.
She took the first taxi that she spotted and made her way home, as she got in, Kate became anxious as it was a few hours before he arrived.
Her boyfriend, Brian was supposed to arrive at six o’clock that day. They hadn’t seen each other in a while and after the lockdown was semi- lifted, Brian opted to drive to her place and spend time with her.
His exact words were that he had missed her and life was too sacred for them to waste and throw away.
The two had met a few years earlier, and when Brian mentioned that he didn’t mind that she was a virgin or that she wasn’t ready to get down as most ladies would.
In his words, Brian stated that he also had a lot of skeletons in his closet and that he would be a hypocrite if he didn’t allow her to live her life the way she wanted to.
This however, did not sit well with most of her friends as they never understood how and why Brian still stayed with her. Most of them stated that maybe it was because he was cheating while others lamented on the fact that he might be settling for the safe option which in this case was her.
