Trish walked to her boss’s office.
She had to update him on the outcome of the meeting that the junior staff had just convened. It wasn’t her place to, but Trish wanted attention.
The kind of attention that couldn’t be issued in public or during working hours, as people would suspect them. The good thing about their situation was that her boss usually locked himself in the office and rarely came out, and when he did, it for a crucial reason that demanded his presence.
The two had created a semi romantic relationship that began when he gave her a lift home after work one day. Even though neither of them had planned it, none of them stopped the other when they started flirting with each other.
After the ride home, the flirting increased and they kept sneaking into each other’s offices under the pretense of consulting or seeking advice.
At some point, her boss started using his assistant to forward messages to her, and in an effort to be thorough, the two used codes to ensure that he didn’t understand what was going on.
The idea was born in an effort to stop the assistant from spreading unnecessary rumors as neither of the two trusted him.
