This book is a work of fiction and any resemblance to persons, living or dead, or places, events or locales is purely coincidental.

It is intended only for adults over the age of 18 and all characters are represented as 18 or over.

Kevin made his way to the balcony and stared at the view. It was peaceful, as none of the neighbors had stepped out yet.

The three blocks of apartments in the neighborhood were throwing another party as per the resident’s request. The idea was that each block would volunteer one deejay to work on his craft as the rest danced from the balconies.

Since the lockdown started, things had been tricky for a lot of people especially those who had children. It was already hard trying to figure out how to deal with the pandemic, so one would understand how tempting it was when it came to tutoring the children.

The parents in the blocks would through social media and common groups, ask for help from time to time. It reached a point that parents would volunteer to virtually tutor kids and in return have their internet services paid for.

Their neighborhood had turned into a barter trade region, where people exchanged services for commodities that wasn’t necessarily money. They placed shopping baskets in the middle of the street and those who were allowed to leave their houses would push the desired items to the assigned blocks.

In Kevin’s case however, things were a bit tricky as his family was in a different state than he was. It wasn’t by choice but when the pandemic started, his wife took their two kids and rushed to her mother’s home. Her mother was already having health issues so none of them thought that it would be fair for her to stay alone.
