Brian made his way to the library, he had another class in thirty minutes and he needed to make sure that he was ahead of the teacher.
Being the foreign exchange student, not only meant that he had to be on his best behavior but also that he needed to be a few steps ahead of everybody else.
To him the best behavior meant being the low key and silent guy in class who always focused on the teacher and only made a few friends.
However, after a few weeks of being the good boy in class, Brian ended up being the guy people loved and he even landed himself a girlfriend.
Most of his classmates were fascinated with the fact that he was from Africa.
The down side to the situation was that his stay in Russia was about to come to an end as the semester was almost over and if memory served him well, he was supposed to travel but to Kenya as soon as it had ended.
The perks of being a foreign exchange student was that certain amenities were offered such as accommodation and food for the semester.
After the end of the programme, one had to decide between going back to his country or staying in the school under a scholarship.
However, as most international students across the world would attest, life wasn’t all peaches and pies.
Most had to work to get additional funds for things such as books and utilities.
At that point, Brian had to decide between the lovely girl in his life or the reality of his existence.
“I got to get to class, will look for her later” Brian thought to himself.
He had to find his love interest before the day ended.
The last time the two were together, they ended up getting into an argument.
Brian wanted them to come to terms with their reality while she wanted them to live in the moment.
The last thing she wanted to do was be reminded of the fact that their romance had been doomed from the beginning.
After class, Brian walked to the park that was located outside the school.
That was the spot that she loved to sit in when the two had gone through a rough patch. He walked around the park and tried to spot her.
After a few rounds of looking, and going round the park, Brian finally located her.
She was seated at her normal spot reading a book.
That was one of the things that Brian loved about her. She was a lovely and beautiful book warmer and that made him proud.
