Gideon glanced at the time, thirty minutes had passed and there was still no sign of her.
He was stuck in court, listening to poorly done submissions from arrogant advocates who clearly wanted to impress him rather than represent their clients.
This was not a good thing as it was the holidays and three quarter of the court had left for the holidays other than him. Apparently it was essential for one of the judges to stay behind as there were advocates who thought it best to file urgent matters during that time.
A whirlwind of emotions was taking control of his conscience as he tried to keep up with the submissions being presented by the advocates before him and pray for the person that he was eagerly waiting for to walk into the courtroom.
Gideon was on the verge of giving up, as it seemed as though she wasn’t showing up and that meant that he was to find proper ways to deal with his disappointment rather than take it out on the advocates present in the court room.
He was sure that she was around as her superior was known to overwork his staff even during the holidays.
He stared down on the advocate making his presentation and found the pettiest reason to yell at him. A part of him enjoyed watching the poor thing squirm even though he knew it was unjustified.
In the middle of yelling at the advocate, his most anticipated person walked in.
