Ranger was getting ready for a birthday bash of his girl best friend. His big sister helped him choose the best outfit for the party and he was happy about it. He had been longing to confess his true feelings for his best friend and tonight could be the perfect time for it.
“You look handsome little brother,” said Elise, his big sister.
“Hush! Stop calling me little Elise,” he retorted.
Elise let out a laugh and called their parents to see Ranger in his suit.
“Awesome baby,” exclaimed his mom.
“You look like you are preparing for something huh,” commented his dad and proceeded to lit a cigarette.
At this point, Ranger was heavily anxious. He never felt this way towards a certain person especially to a woman but tonight he decided not to waste any more time. The clock on the wall said it was already 4pm and at any moment, his friend Jed would be here.
He craned his neck to find Jed right on the door wearing a jet black suit and his hair was styled classically. Jed rushed towards him for a hug and they laughed together. Somehow, he felt at ease the moment his friend stepped in.
“Ready?” asked Jed.
“Yes but I’m nervous,” he answered with all honesty.
“Relax dude! Now hop in,” said Jed and started the engine.
