Harper took a glance at his watch, it was six- thirty p.m. which also meant that it was almost time.
He couldn’t help feeling like there were butterflies in his stomach or stop the rate at which his heart was beating.
“Oh crap! What was I thinking setting up this date; Nick is going to kill me!” Harper said to himself.
Harper and Nick had been best friends for about twenty years. The said amount of time that made Harper consider Nick as family.
The two had just reconciled after having a huge blow out, that is after Nick found out that Harper had been enjoying extra marital affairs with his ex-wife.
Technically, or in the words that Harper used to down play the situation, Nick had no reason of being angry with him as he and his wife were technically separated.
He didn’t understand why his best friend would throw a fit over a woman that had already left him.
In Harper’s mind, he wasn’t to blame because he had done his best friend a favor by sleeping with the woman who had left him for another man.
“In all honesty though, if he didn’t talk to me for about five years because of stepping out with his ex-wife, how will he take it if he finds out about her? But it’s just dancing, I can’t let anything else happen between us, even though she is beautiful and…. Crap stop it!” Harper thought to himself.
