Being married to the richest and the most famous business tycoon in the world, Marie could not help but feel the need to act as the noble wife for him. However, the mere fact that she came from a common and ordinary family in town, her actions sometimes were out of tune.
“Marie, you have to consider your husband’s reputation,” said her mom.
“But mom, I’m not rich. Dave’s money is not my money,” she replied.
“But honey,” her mom insisted.
She hugged her mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“Fine mom,” she replied and went straight to their bedroom.
Dave was barely home. He was always busy with endless meetings and company gatherings but he would always make sure that Marie got the attention she needed. So whenever he’s home, he would always treat her for dinner.
One evening, he came home drunk. Marie immediately assisted him to their bed and prepared his clothes.
“Thank you, my wife,” he said.
She just gave him a smile and proceeded to change his working clothes. As she was folding it neatly, she saw a calling card with a name of Samantha Smith and a contact number. Woman instinct kicked in and she was close to believing that her husband was having an affair with another woman.
