Teddy took a sip from his drink and glanced at the time.
It was almost six and the game hadn’t started. It wasn’t unusual for it to start late but this time Teddy had a motive.
He had a girl in mind that he wanted to charm.
However, the girl's shift was about to end and Teddy's moment was almost lapsing.
It didn’t help his situation, when he realized that the girl seemed angry with him for some reason.
“what did I do to her, why can’t she even give me the time of day? I have to get her attention!” Teddy thought to himself.
He didn’t have the option of going back to the establishment the next day as he was trying to reduce his drinking habit.
He wasn’t addicted, or at that point where he was past his drinking level, Teddy was just conscious of the things he placed in his body.
Teddy watched as the girl walked past him with the next table’s orders then signaled her over.
The girl that Teddy was into, was the establishment’s bar maid and he was hell bent on showing her a good time.
As she walked towards him, Teddy treated that moment as the moment of truth and he figured that he had to create a lasting impression if he wanted her to like him back.
