Mercy made her way to the balcony and stared at the view. She crossed her arms and took a few deep breaths then closed her eyes.
She then felt a hand across her waist, and as much as she didn’t want to admit it, they said action seemed to calm her down.
“Are you okay?”
“Yea, I am. Just thinking,”
Mercy said as she opened her eyes, and turned to look at him.
“Hey come, let’s go inside and get you something to eat,”
“Joshua, am okay, I promise,” she continued as the two got into the condo.
Joshua had been gracious enough to host for a few weeks, that was after the government declared an instant lockdown and she couldn’t get home.
Though her circumstance was purely coincidental, Mercy had herself to blame for her current turn of events.
She had decided to listen when her best friend advised her to try and live freely.
According to her best friend, Mercy was a plain Jane who was boring to be around and needed to change. Her best friend thought that one of the major reasons that Mercy was single was due to the fact that she was too traditional.
